NASA has identified a clear and pressing need for education of both local decision makers and the local flying and nonflying public to enable AAM operations to commence in a timely manner. Developing Local Knowledge (DLK) for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is a two-year, NASA-funded research effort. The goal of this research effort is to develop a robust and cost-conscious capability to support public agencies in education, engagement, and outreach for AAM.

DLK for AAM Provides Online Training in Two Ways
Current Courses and Topic Areas
DLK for AAM courses are divided in two categories:
- Custom courses developed by AAM Subject Matter Experts.
- Curated readers based on publicly available AAM materials.
Most courses require about an hour to complete.
